I made the connection screws from threaded rod and general cap nut along with a washer. Painted to match the plates. I affixed one plate to the left above the hand grip  with very thin nylon cording stained in wood stain. Wound tightly and then knotted to finish in a unseen area. The grip chock was applied similar except at either end. The hand grip wrapping is Deda MISTRAL Bicycle Bar Tape Synthetic Leather. You will only need a fraction of it. I managed to get rid of the company logo with a little rubbing alcohol lightly rubbed with a q-tip and glued with your preference of adhesive - mine was E-6000. The plates on the limbs are wound with the same nylon cord just a bit. I had to drill out a hole on the plate to accommodate the connection screw on both limb plate. Simply screw in and I used Locktight to secure the cap nut. The limb cord nubs are painted with gold paint light the hinges. When down I applied the cord and was finished

 CW Arrow Bow

This replica is based on the bow from the CW show "Arrow" season 1.  This project took a solid one week (figuring on 40 hour work week). I have to say among the slew of props I made or assisted in making this was my jewel of the collection. I researched the hell out of it for something like three weeks which was not figure into the build time, ranging from general Google searches to prop specific forum section on the Replica Prop Forum.

the cord and was finished

If you are lucky you can find the exact products but in my case I had to improvise.

The 'C' section item where the hand grip is a Sea-Dog Line Straight Chock - Stainless

Steel. This was purchase through Amazon and painted with gold Rustoleum spray paint. I

did apply a light brown wash to replicate rusting in though out areas (when the most

wearing would accrue).

I started the project off thinking I could make my own riser due to the fact of finding the plans. The time wasted on this process was not included in my final build time. Needles to say I purchased Ragim Matrix Jr Recurve Bow 48" Right Hand 20# as recommended by other prop builders. This bow style comes close if not exact. The bow riser came with dark stain finish and this was not going to do and after some extensive sanding I managed to remove about 70% of the color. I further removed some color applying two coats of bleach.
Prior to any further progress with the bow I recommend applying the various decorative symbols. I did my best according to pictures of the actual bow - not exact but close. I hand drew them out and the burned the images in uing a thin blade wood burner and another light sanding to remove any stray pencil marks. I tried to weather the grip to look used with some ashes from the fire place hand rubbed into the wood. Apply a light coat of polyurethane to preserve the look.

The plates on the face of the limbs where the riser connects was Seachoice/Land &

Sea Inc. 33831 strap hinges, also purchased ion Amazon. You will  utilize both hinges

with the center pin removed. I ground out the topside, took a hammer and nail and

pooped out the pin Then painted and weather like the hand grip.
