Why did we do this costume:

This costume originally derived for an expression "you only do superhero costumes". I wished to make something unusual, a bit out of my wheel house. Plus, I appreciate the cult classic horror films

 Build progress:

Starting my write up I will go from the head down. The mask is prepared from latex with cotton spread over my plaster face cast and then transferred to my mannequin head to complete it. Next I painted in layers to get the heavy scaring I was looking for.

My hat and sweater was purchased off ebay. The fedora was just a model felt hat with some singeing and a little black paint. The sweater is an actual costume sweater for Nightmare on Elm Street which I hacked up to receive the rips and pulls I preferred. I applied a torch to obtain actual burns and airbrushed black to resemble scorch effects

The glove was handmade from copper piping and heat treated for the finish. Finger knives, to produce a con friendly, made from plastic colored silver. The weld lines were created from hot-glue painted silver and black. My actual glove was light colored, and them dyed through a sequence of wood stains and oils then blazed with a torch which aged it immensely.

The trousers and boots I had on hand which was a plus for two reasons. Did not cost me a thing and had issues seeking to locate screen authentic elements.

After thoughts:

Though this project is similar, I think I have handed over my finest product on the mask - since it was my first time working with this latex/cotton process. I would yearn to do real blades but public friendly is my intention. I enjoyed this build greatly
