Why did we do this costume:

Alexis saw how much fun Cody and I had with the build and wearing costumes so she asked me to ...make her one. This costume was part of our family set (Flash, Arrow, Green Lantern).

 Build progress:

Since she is on the younger side I did not want to go with the traditional costume so I remembered that Wonder Woman had pants and a jacket in Jim Lee redesign. We took liberties with some of the aspects of the costume as follows. She wanted a skirt in the worst way and was before the movie so I found a design where it was tasseled with stars so I replicated the design with vinyl and foam stars. The belt was from the Jim Lee design made from craft foam and painted with liquidtex gold. I found a long sleeve shirt and hand painted the design onto it. The comic version had a low neck cut but opted for age to keep the shirt neck. The jacket I ordered from eBay as I was marketed for child’s based play of Grease. I modded sleeve length gloves to make them fingerless. The bracers I saw on another cosplayer and thought they were a cool look. I made the tiara out of a headband with craft foam attached. The lasso was just braided vinyl I found at Walmart. The pants and shoes we hand in hand.

  After thoughts:

As she is getting older I would change up some aspects but not the design. I think the combination of various elements really made this costume pop. Alexis was so thrilled with this costume that she wanted more costumes... I created a monster.
